Vermicelli Pulav



Vermicelli Pulav is a delicious savoury dish. I made it with the homemade vermicelli (for its recipe: Click Here). You can incorporate any seasonal veggies of your choice in this recipe like green, yellow or red capsicum, green peas,  cauliflower, onions, beans, etc. It is simple to make and yummy in taste. You can serve it at any time.


Here is the detail of its ingredients and method:
Ingredients:
Homemade Vermicelli - 1 cup
Ghee/ Oil - 2 tbsp
Onions - 1 (cut in small dices)
Potatoes - 1 (cut in small dices)
Capsicum - 1 (cut in small dices)
Tomato - 1 (cut in small dices)
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Lemon - 1


Method:
1. Put 1 tbsp of ghee/oil in a pan and heat it. Then add homemade vermicelli and roast it for 1-2 minutes or until it changes its colour.

2. After that add 2 cup of water and turmeric powder in it and let it cook for 4-5 minutes or until it tenders. Then Strain it and keep it aside.

3. Then put the remaining 1 tbsp of ghee or oil in the pan and heat it. Then put onions into it and saute it for 2 minutes. After that add capsicum and potatoes in it and cook it until tenders. Lastly add tomatoes, salt, chilli powder and garam masala into it and mix it well. Then add cooked homemade vermicelli into it and lemon juice of 1 lemon into it and toss it well. Vermicelli pulav is ready. Garnish and serve it hot with tomato chutney, mint chutney or rayta.
