Sesame Semolina Toast


Sesame Semolina toast is crispy, delicious and easy to make recipe. You can serve it as a breakfast or pack it in your kids tiffin box or serve as an evening snack or as a starter in any party or get-together.

Here is the detail of ingredients and method:
Ingredients:
Bread Slices - 4
Sesame Seeds - 3 tbsp
Oil - 3-4 tbsp.

For topping:
Semolina - 1 cup (small)
Onion - 1 (small) (finely chopped)
Capsicum - 1/2 (finely chopped)
Tomato - 1 (small) (finely chopped)
Crushed Roasted Peanuts - 2 tbsp
Coriander Leaves - 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chaat Masala - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:
1. In a mixing bowl, put all the topping ingredients: Semolina, onion, capsicum, tomato, crushed roasted peanuts, coriander leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chaat masala, garam masala, red chilli powder and salt to taste in the bowl and mix it well. Then add adequate water to bind all the ingredients and mix it well to make a thick consistency mixture.
2. Spread the 2-3 tbsp of topping over the each bread slice evenly and sprinkle sesame seeds over them and gently press with the help of spoon.
3. Heat the non-stick tava. Then grease it with oil. Put the bread slice on tawa keeping topping side downwards. Cook it on slow flame until crisp and golden. Then flip it and cook the other side until crisp. Remove them from tava.
4. Cut the slices diagonally from centre and garnish it with tomato ketchup. Serve it hot with milk, tea or coffee.
