Corn Halwa



Corn Halwa is sweet delicacy made of with corn kernels. It is very delicious in taste. It also contains the health benefits of corn. You can make it at any time. For adding more taste and richness you can add Khoya or milk maid in it.

Here is the details of ingredients and method:-

Ingredients:
Corn kernels - 1 cup
Ghee - 3-4 tbsp
Sugar - 4 tsp
Semolina - 2 tbsp
Milk - 1 cup
Cream - 1/2 cup
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
Yellow Colour - 1 pinch (optional)
Melon Seeds - 2 tbsp
Raisins - 1 tbsp
Chopped Almonds - 7-8
Chopped Cashews - 4-5
Desiccated Coconut - 2 tbsp.


Method:
1. Put the Corn kernels into the mixer jar and add 2 tbsp of water and grinding it and make a paste.

2. Then put the ghee into the non-stick pan and heat it. Then put semolina and mix it. After that add corn kernels paste into it and roast it on low flame at least for 10 minutes or until it changes its colour. Keep Stirring. Then add milk into it and cover the lid, let it cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Then add sugar and cream into it and mix it well. Cook it until sugar melts and mix in halwa and halwa absorbs all the milk and cream. Continuously stir it.

3. Then add cardamom powder and mix it well. (If you want to add khoya add in this stage) Stir it well for 3-4 minutes. Mix the yellow colour in 3-4 tbsp of warm milk and put it into the halwa and mix it.

4. Lastly add chopped almonds, melon seeds, raisins, cashew nuts and desiccated coconut into it and mix it well. Corn halwa is ready. Put it into the serving dish, garnish it with dry fruits and serve it hot. You can also garnish it with colourful tooti fruiti.
