Palak Paneer



Palak Paneer is a popular north Indian dish. It is healthy and delicious Punjabi dish which is made of with spinach puree and dices of cottage cheese cooked in onion, tomato paste and other spices. You can serve it with naans, chapati, paratha, plain rice or jeera rice.


Restaurant style palak paneer is easy to cook at home. To make it more tastier you can shallow fried the cottage cheese dices.


Here is the detail of its ingredients and method of it:
   
Ingredients:
Spinach - 750 gms
Cottage Cheese - 250 gms (Cut in cubes)
Onion - 1 big (make a paste)
Tomato - 4 (make a puree)
Ginger & Green Chilli Paste - 1 tbsp
Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Cream - 4 tbsp
Butter - 2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp.


Method:
1. Clean the spinach leaves and wash it well. Put it into the water and let it boil for 2 minutes for blanching. Then drain the water and cool it down. After that put spinach leaves into the mixer jar and make a paste of it.

2. Take a pan and heat oil into it. Then add Onion paste into it and cook it until light brown. After that add Garlic Paste and ginger & green chilli paste into it and mix it well. When it properly roasted then add tomato puree into it and mix it well.

3. Season it with chilli powder, garam masala and salt to taste. After that add spinach puree into it and also add butter and mix it well. Cover it with lid and cook for 2 minutes.

4. Then add cream into it and mix it well. Lastly add cottage cheese dices into it and mix it well and cook for 1 minute. Then Switch off the flame and Palak Paneer is ready. Put it into the serving dish and serve it hot with chapati, naan or rice.
