Tomato Chutney




Chutneys / Sauces are very important part of our Indian Cuisine. Tomatoes chutney are one of the popular chutney. This homemade tangy- sweet chutney can be preserved for almost 15 days in refrigerator. You can use it on bread toast, pizza, pastas, Frankie or have it with parathas as per your choice.


Here is the full recipe of it:-

Ingredients:-
Tomatoes - 500 gms
Garlic - 8-10 cloves
Ginger - 1 inch pc.
Chilli flakes - 4 tablespoons
Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Garam masala - 1 tablespoon
Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Dry curry leaves - 1 tablespoon (crushed)
White Vinegar - 3 tablespoons
Sugar- 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Oil - 50 gms


Method:-
1. Put tomatoes in the boiling water for 2 minutes approx. Then drain the water and peel them.

2. Make the paste of peeled tomatoes, ginger and garlic in mixer.

3. Take a pan and heat the oil. Then add mustard seeds and crushed curry leaves into it and when it starts popping up then add the tomatoes ginger garlic paste and roast it on medium heat for 5 minutes.

4. Then season it with chilli flakes, Kashmiri chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt to taste and sugar. Mix it well.

5. Then add vinegar into it and cook it until water evaporates. Tomato chutney is ready. Let it cool down. You can serve it with poori, parantha, apply on sandwiches, frankies etc. or you can put this into the sterilized jar for later use. You can preserve it for 10-15 days in refrigerator.
