Spring Onion and Dal Paratha

This Paratha is not only so delicious 😋, easy to make but healthy too. Many times we have leftover dal in our fridge which we don't want to eat again. So you can make it with that leftover daal, be it yellow lentil, black lentil or any other, and have these tasty and crispy parathas in your breakfast. I used urad daal in this recipe. Every ingredient of this parathas like spring onion both green and white part, fenugreek leaves, etc. contains good nutritional value which makes it healthy and it is so easy to make it.

For making it more healthier you can avoid the frying part of it.

Here is it ingredients and full recipe:-
Ingredients:-
Wheat Flour - 1&1/2 cup
Gram flour (besan) - 1/2 cup
Leftover urad dal - 1 cup
Spring Onion (white bulbs) - 1 medium (finely chopped)
Spring onion (greens) - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Fenugreek Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Curd - 2 teaspoon
Carom seeds - 1 tsp
Chilli flakes - 1 tbsp
Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Ghee/ butter

Method:-
1. Take a bowl and put wheat flour and besan in it. Now add spring onion whites and greens, fenugreek leaves, coriander leaves, carom seeds, chilli flakes, chaat masala, garam masala and salt to taste in it and mix it well with your hands. Add leftover daal and curd in it and knead it. Add water, if required, in it and knead a soft dough and cover it with muslin cloth and keep it to rest for 10-15 minutes.

2. Now before making paratha, knead the dough once again and divide it into 5-6 parts. Take one part of it and roll it like a ball, then sprinkle some dry flour and roll it with the help of rolling pin.

3. Then first divide it into three parts and fold both the outer parts over the central part and make a strip.  Then again fold this strip in a same way and it look like a square. Roll it horizontally and vertically to make a square parathas. Make all the parathas in the same way.

4. Then you heat the griddle. Put one parathas over it. Flip it and grease the oil or ghee over both the sides one by one and fry both the sides until crisp and nice golden marks. After this your spring onion and dal paratha is ready to serve.

5. Keep it in the plate and serve it hot. You can serve it with the cube of butter, curd, rayta, etc. of your choice.
