Beetroot Chapati



We all know that beetroot is very good for our health as it contains many nutrients which is very good for our body  so we have to incorporate it in our routine diet.
If you don't eat it then start consuming now. Usually people include Beetroot in their diet as salad or juice but many of us specially kids don't like it and not consume the same. So for such kind of persons this beetroot chapati is the right choice as this not only contains the healthy nutrients of beetroot but tastes too.


Here is the full recipe:-


Ingredients:-
Whole Wheat Flour - 1 Cup
Beetroot Puree - 1/2 cup
Chopped Coriander leaves - 2 tsp
Roasted Cumin Powder- 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Ghee/ Butter


Method:-
1. Take a bowl. Put whole wheat flour and beetroot puree in it and mix it well. Then add chopped coriander leaves, roasted cumin powder , garam masala, chilli powder and salt to taste in it and mix it with hands. Add water, if needed, in it to knead a soft dough. Knead it well and cover it with the muslin cloth and keep it to rest for some time.


2. Divide the dough in 6-7 parts and take one part of it and make a round ball and sprinkle some dry flour and roll it with the help of rolling pin. Make all the rotis in the same way.


3. Then heat the tava and cook all the roti on it. Apply the butter or ghee on the beetroot chapati and serve it hot with coriander chutney, Plain Curd/ Rayta, etc.


Note:- For making a beetroot puree, boil the wedges of 1 beetroot in 1/2 cup of water for 5 minutes & then cool it and blend it in the mixer and make a puree.
