Srikhand is a traditional Maharashtra's & Gujarat's dessert which is made from hungcurd with flavours of cardamom, saffron, mango in it. Its commonly seen in the menus of the restaurants there. And now it is popular all over India. The recipe of this dessert is as follows, here I am using the rose flavour in it. You can try it with other flavours too like chocolate, pista, strawberry, etc.
Ingredients:-
Hung curd - 1 cup
Sugar - 3-4 tablespoons
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Rose syrup - 4-5 tablespoons
Almonds crushed - 2 tablespoons
Raisins - 2 tablespoons
Cashew nuts crushed - 2 tablespoons
Rose petals - 1 teaspoon (finely chopped)
For garnishing:-
Whipped cream
Almonds & Raisins
Cherri
Method:-
1. Take a deep bowl, put hungcurd into it and whisk it well with the help of whisker or hand blender until it turned smooth & creamy. Add sugar in it and mix it well so that sugar gets dissolved in it.
2. Add cardamom powder, 4 tbsp of rose syrup, chopped rose petals and dry fruits in it and mix it well. Keep it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
3. Put it in the serving bowl and pour some rose syrup over it. Before serving garnish it with the whipped cream, cherry and dry fruits. Serve it chilled.
