Beetroot Schezwan Rice Recipe




Ingredients:
Basmati Rice (boiled) - 2 cups
Beetroot (grated) - 1/2 cup
Green Peas - 1/2 cup
Capsicum (in Julienns) - 1/2 cup
Onion (in Julienns) - 1/2 cup
Schezwan Sauce - 2 tablespoons
Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Chat Masala - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tablespoon

For garnishing:
Coriander leaves

Method:-
1. Take a non-stick pan and put it on the stove. Put oil into it and once the oil become hot, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds into it and let them splutter.

2. After that put the onions, green peas and capsicums into the pan and let them fry into the oil for 2 minutes. Add Schezwan sauce into it and 2 pinch of salt and stir it well. Once the veggies gets tenders then put the grated beetroot into the pan and mix it well.

3. Then add the boiled rice into the pan and also sprinkle the spices (coriander powder, chaat masala, black pepper powder and salt to taste) into it. Mix it well and turned the flame off. The healthy and delicious beetroot schezwan fried rice is ready now.

4. Put the rice into the plate and garnish it with some coriander leaves and serve it hot.

Note: We can also add cubes of cottage cheese (Paneer) into it.
