Phirni (Rice Pudding) is so delicious dessert. It is made of with milk and grounded rice and can be flavoured with Almonds, Chocolate, Saffron, Rose, Mango, strawberry, etc. It is served chilled. It is so easy to make. Today I am sharing the recipe of Almond Phirni and Choco Almond Phirni.

Ingredients:
Milk - 500 ml
Cocoa Powder - 1 tsp
Cream - 2 tbsp
Basmati Rice - 2 tbsp (soaked)
Almonds- 25-30 (soaked and peeled)
Sugar - 3-4 tbsp
Cardamom - 3 (crushed)
Method:
1. First grind the rice coarsely and also make the coarse paste of peeled almonds.

2. Boil the milk in a thick bottom pan and then slow the heat and add coarse paste of rice and cook it for 10 minutes.
3. Then add cream and mix it. Then add almond paste in it and mix it well. Keep stirring so that it won't stick to the pan. Cook for 2 -3 minutes
4. Add sugar in it and mix it well. Lastly add crushed cardamom in it and mix it well. Almond Phirni is ready and divide it into 2 equal parts. Put 1 part in refrigerator for 2 hours. Garnish it with chopped almonds and serve it chilled.
5. Then add 1 tsp of cocoa powder in the other part and mix it well and cook for 1-2 minutes. Choco Almond Phirni is ready. Keep this too in refrigerator for 2 hours. Garnish it with chocolate shavings and almonds and serve it chilled.
