Chilli Potato



Chilli potato is popular Indo Chinese dish which is served as a starter. It is made of with fried potatoes which seasoned with ginger garlic paste, chillies and sauces.

Here is its full recipe:-

Ingredients
Parboiled potatoes - 250 gms
Onions - 1(finely chopped)
Garlic - 2-3 cloves (crushed)
Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
Red chilli - 1 (crushed)
Green chilli - 1 (chopped)
Green onion - 1/2 cup
Crushed Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Soya sauce - 1 tablespoon
Schezwan sauce - 1 tablespoon
Sweet chilli sauce - 2 tablespoons
Crushed peanuts - 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Oil for frying potato roundels

Method:-
1. Cut the potatoes in 1 cm roundels. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the potato roundels until crisp and golden brown.

2. Take another pan and heat 1 tablespoon of oil into it. Then add chopped onions and crushed garlic into it and saute it for 1-2 minutes.

3. Then add crushed red chillies, ginger paste and green chillies and cook it for 1 minute. Then add soya sauce, sweet chilli sauce and schezwan sauce and mix it well.

4. Add fried potato roundels, salt to taste and crushed black pepper into it and toss it well.

5. Lastly add crushed peanuts and half of the green onions into it and mix it well. Switch off the flame. Chilli potato is ready to serve.

6. Put it into serving plate or bowl and sprinkle rest of the green onions over it and serve it hot as a starter or side dish.
