Coconut Chutney


It is popular south Indian chutney. It is served with Dosa, Idli, Uttapam, vada, appe or etc. It goes well with rice too. Here is its recipe:-

Ingredients:-
Fresh coconut - 1 medium
Channa dal - 2 tablespoons (soaked)
Curd - 1/2 cup
Curry leaves  - 7-8
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Green chilli - 2
Oil - 1-2 tablespoons
Tamarind paste - 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste


Method:-
1. Put coconut pieces, soaked chana dal, curd, salt and green chilli into the mixer jar and make a paste of it.

2. Then add tamarind paste into the paste and mix it well.

3. Take a tadka pan and heat oil. Then add mustard seeds and curry leaves into it. Once they starts splutter then add this tadka to the coconut chutney and mix it well.

4. Coconut chutney is ready now. Serve it with dosa, idli, rice or uttapam.
